The avi for vegetarian and vegan nutrition
The avi blood count vegetarian/vegan diet shows you whether you supply your body with enough vitamin D, B12, iron and folic acid. While the vegetarian/vegan diet can offer numerous health benefits (higher intake of fiber, vitamins and antioxidants), there are also potential risks that can be associated with a lack of certain nutrients.
Vitamin D and B12 deficiencies can cause a variety of health problems, as the vitamins are essential for various important functions in the body (bone health, physical performance, risk of infection,...). A lack of the nutrients ferritin and folic acid can lead to iron deficiency and, as a result, weakness and exhaustion in everyday life.

Please arrive sober for your appointment.
The vegetarian/vegan diet blood count measures specifically selected blood values by our team of doctors for which a nutritional deficiency is possible: vitamin D, vitamin B12, folic acid and ferritin.
In the follow-up consultation, you will discuss the results of your previous examination with your doctor, taking your individual risk profile into account. Together we will look at how you can continue to stay healthy and prevent the development of illnesses. If necessary, we recommend that you make adjustments to your lifestyle. We are also happy to support you with this as part of your home medical care.
The comprehensive blood count is an optional service that is subject to a fee. Private health insurance companies usually cover the fees. Statutory health insurance companies usually do not cover the amount of €139. Please ask your health insurance company about this.
You can have your complete blood count carried out in all Avi Medical general practices in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg.
