Your digital sleep training with proven efficacy

Just 10 minutes of sleep training a day is all it takes. Based on established treatment methods from sleep medicine, somnio offers support for patients with sleep onset and maintenance disorders. The effectiveness of somnio has been proven in several clinical trials. In an RCT study conducted by Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (2023), participants achieved significant improvements thanks to somnio:

How does somnio work?

somnio is based on cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). CBT-I is widely regarded as the "gold standard" for insomnia treatment and is recommended even before the use of sleeping medications. Our digital sleep expert Albert will guide you through the entire program of somnio. He provides detailed and easily understandable explanations in the 12 sequential modules of the application.
The central tool of sleep training with somnio is the sleep journal (consisting of an evening and morning log), which is used to continuously analyze the development of your sleep quality (bedtime, sleep time, and sleep efficiency).

How to get somnio?

The somnio app can help patients diagnosed with non-organic insomnia. In this case, a prescription for somnio will be issued to you on-site at the avi general practice or through the avi online consultation. You can then send the prescription to your health insurance company as usual or use our free somnio prescription service. You will receive your personal activation code from your health insurance company after approximately 2 business days. Then you are ready to start sleep therapy.
