Digestive problems
What are digestive problems?
Digestive disorders are when different digestive processes do not proceed as they might be used to. Complaints include heartburn, unpleasant belching, bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, and constipation.
Digestive problems usually only plague us for a short time. However, there are some circumstances and also illnesses that influence our digestion in such a way that we notice it persistently unpleasant. Here it makes sense to look for the cause of this.
Where can the digestive problems come from?
Nutrition, lack of exercise, psychological stress situations alone can lead to a disorder in the gastrointestinal system. But also food intolerances, allergies, medications, and certain illnesses such as Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis or a irritable bowel can unbalance your digestion.
What should I do if I have digestive problems?
Since so many points contribute to a well-functioning digestive system, the first step is to discuss your living conditions, everyday life and eating habits. Book an appointment at one of our avi practices and we will be happy to take the time to do so!
The next step should involve meaningful laboratory tests and imaging (ultrasonography) provide a further explanation of the cause. In addition, depending on the findings, it may be necessary to consult a specialist in gastroenterology.
